Therapeutic equestrian facility to treat PTSD-impacted vets

Twenty-four veterans from the Montrose VA hospital will surely be treated along at the Therapeutic Equestrian Center in Cold Spring.

The facility has a specific program that supposedly help with the patients, said center Executive Director Sanya Gudim.

“We will surely be utilizing our therapeutic riding program where individuals will have the ability to mount the horse resulting in gain benefits in the movement of the horse,” Gudim said. “Some of a given benefits are balance, coordination, confidence and self-esteem, plus the list goes on and on.”
